What’s the last thing you’ve stressed over? To what extent? Why? How did it turn out? Was it ever as bad as it was in your head?
I go into tests with an objectively reckless mindset more often than not; this last one, when asked if I was ready I simply shrugged my shoulders and said “probably.”
Now, I’m in the military and if I fail a test more than once I’m kicked out of the class- for good. That should make for more of an incentive to make sure I don’t fail. Correct? To some extent, but certainly not to the point it takes over my peace of mind. If you want to do good, do good, practice and study according to what you want because we reap what we sow, and you can do anything you want, we do have free will so long as we’re alive. I passed the test, by the grace of God.
The problem occurs when we start making more ado of something that doesn’t need it- an example ⬇️

I’ve always been influenced by the movie Surf’s Up in this way, you know the one with the surfing penguins. Life is about enjoying and being thankful for what you’re given, not desiring something else that takes over your ability to be grateful for what you have- Chicken Joe won the surfing competition because he didn’t care about winning and just wanted to surf.
Just surf, if you should be in a certain place or with a certain award, naturally you’ll end up there. There’s no need to stress or need to be someone for somebody else.

6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
